Viesti Kirjoittaja piilahti » 19.03.2024 18:07

The Finnish Family History Association was founded on April 10, 2004. Due to the anniversary on Wednesday April 10, 2024, a program open to everyone is available online via Zoom.

In the afternoon, we will delve into the history of the association and shed light on what the sources reveal about individual human fate. In the evening, on the FFHA channel, less used source material found in the image database will be highlighted. The latter presentation is in Swedish, the others in Finnish. The presentations are recorded and can be viewed later in the Video library of the member pages.

Afternoon program

13:00-13:30
Kari-Matti Piilahti: FFHA 20 years: excerpts from the association's timeline

13:30-14:30
Genealogist Maaret Räsänen: When nothing is found: Maria Heikintytär from Askola, who murdered her husband in January 1800, was executed in December of the same year. The presentation tells what the sources reveal about Maria's last year of life.
