I have a 4th Great-Grandfather Mathias Olofsson Pietilä from Kemijärvi (b.1727-d.1807) His father would be my 5th Great-Grandfather and I show him to have the name of Olli Mattzpk Haloinen Kangas from Kemijärvi (b.25 Jul 1703-d.1769). The link above is for Olli's birth and is entry #5 on the first page. (I got Olli's information from an Ancestry.com entry so it may be incorrect) Olli's wife (Mathias's mother) was Valpuri Micheldr Räisänen from Kemijärvi (b.1709-d.1770).
I need the entry in the above link translated and how/why would the last name change from Pietilä to Haloinen OR is Olli of no relation to me.
This happened once before where my Great Grandfather's name changed and thanks to your organization's help we learned that he married the farmers daughter and took her last name when they married and they lived on the family farm.
