HI,
My husband and I will soon travel to Finland and would like to see the area from which my relatives came from. I have all the "addresses" per the church records for my Great Grandfather. An example of an address would be Mahlu No 17 Ylä-Konttimäki, Saarijärvi. How would I best find this location? Do I need to see an old map of back in the 1870's? Would a local library in Finland have a map? Is there local people in Finland that help people searching for this?
Unfortunately, I do not know anyone in the areas I will be trying to visit.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Sue Samanen Bogseth

You may find many farm names in a modern map, though not all after merging to larger ones.
